This qualification is aimed at individuals with responsibility for supervising work activities in the Construction working environment. The qualification is at Level 3 and is suitable for experienced Construction workers who have the desire and/or need to carry out activities including identifying work methods and resources required to complete tasks safely by organising and coordinating colleagues. Optional units give the opportunity for communicating information on work activities, allocating and monitoring the use of plant, tools and machinery, monitoring the progress of work against schedules and quality standards.
Each candidate is required to produce evidence which demonstrates their achievement of all of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit.
Evidence can include:
- observation report by assessor
- assignments/projects/reports
- professional discussion
- witness testimony
- candidate product
- worksheets
- record of oral and written questioning
- Recognition of Prior Learning
Gold CSCS Card
On completion of your NVQ qualification, along with passing the relevant CITB Health and Safety test (within the last 2 years), you will be able to apply for the Gold CSCS Advanced Craft or Supervisory card.
