This qualification gives you the opportunity to demonstrate your skills, knowledge and competence without attending to any classrooms or workshops. Your allocated assessor will visit you on site.
The NVQ is designed for existing Painter Decorator active in the Construction Industry.

The Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Decorative Finishing – Painting and Decorating has been developed for achievement in a real workplace environment. To recognise your skills, knowledge and understanding and to demonstrate your competence in a real workplace environment so you can work in Decorative Finishing – Painting and decorating within the construction industry.

Each candidate is required to produce evidence which demonstrates their achievement of all of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit.

  • observation report by assessor
  • assignments/projects/reports
  • professional discussion
  • witness testimony
  • candidate product
  • worksheets
  • record of oral and written questioning
  • Recognition of Prior Learning

Gold CSCS Card

On completion of your NVQ qualification, along with passing the relevant CITB Health and Safety test (within the last 2 years), you will be able to apply for the Gold CSCS Advanced Craft or Supervisory card.
