This qualification is at Level 3, and should be taken by those who are experienced, capable of dealing with a wide range of problems, including working with glazing installations that have complex requirements. Candidates will often take a supervisory role, particularly in relation to less experienced workers. They will also work closely with customers and have well-developed customer service skills. The standards cover the most important aspects of the job.
Each candidate is required to produce evidence which demonstrates their achievement of all of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit.
Evidence can include:
- observation report by assessor
- assignments/projects/reports
- professional discussion
- witness testimony
- candidate product
- worksheets
- record of oral and written questioning
- Recognition of Prior Learning
Gold CSCS Card
On completion of your NVQ qualification, along with passing the relevant CITB Health and Safety test (within the last 2 years), you will be able to apply for the Gold CSCS Advanced Craft or Supervisory card.
