This qualification enables you, the learner, to demonstrate and recognise your skills, knowledge and understanding and to demonstrate your competence in a real workplace environment so you can work in two or more of the following disciplines Carpentry and Joinery, Painting and Decorating, Tiling, Plastering, Roofing or Trowel Occupations within the construction industry.
This NVQ provides formal recognition of practicing as a multi-trader or handyman. Learners must select two optional units from:
- Maintenance Carpentry & Joinery
- Maintenance Painting & Decorating
- Maintenance Tiling
- Maintenance Plastering
- Maintenance Roofing
- Maintenance Brickwork or Stone-masonry
Each candidate is required to produce evidence which demonstrates their achievement of all of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit.
Evidence can include:
- assignments/projects/reports
- worksheet
- portfolio of evidence
- record of oral and/or written questioning
- candidate test papers
Blue CSCS Card
On completion of your NVQ qualification, along with passing the relevant CITB Health and Safety test (within the last 2 years), you will be able to apply for the blue CSCS skilled worker card.
