This qualification enables you, the learner, to demonstrate and recognise your skills, knowledge and understanding and to demonstrate your competence in a real workplace environment so you can work as a Carpenter or Joiner within the construction industry.
Level 2 is ideal if you have some knowledge and basic skills working with wood – probably from a role where you work under supervision. You want recognition for your skills, giving you the chance to take on more responsibility.
Each candidate is required to produce evidence which demonstrates their achievement of all of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit.
Evidence can include:
- assignments/projects/reports
- worksheet
- portfolio of evidence
- record of oral and/or written questioning
- candidate test papers
Blue CSCS Card
On completion of your NVQ qualification, along with passing the relevant CITB Health and Safety test (within the last 2 years), you will be able to apply for the blue CSCS skilled worker card.
